How to prepare a test file
Use this checklist before uploading a file, then review the preview before saving.
Upload file
1. Choose a supported file
You can upload `.txt`, `.md`, `.docx`, image files, or a previously exported `.json`.
- Use `.txt` or `.md` for the most reliable import.
- Use `.docx` when your questions include images.
- Upload a single image only when the whole question is a picture and you plan to edit it after import.
2. Format each question clearly
Put one question first, then answer choices, then the correct answer.
Question: What does HTML stand for?
A) Hyper Text Markup Language
B) Home Tool Markup Language
C) Hyperlinks and Text Markup Language
Answer: A
For several correct answers, separate letters with commas.
Question: Select Python web frameworks.
A) FastAPI
B) Laravel
C) Django
Answer: A, C
3. Mark correct answers
- Write `Answer: A` if the correct answer is the first option.
- Write `Answer: A, C` if several options are correct.
- You can also write `Correct: Python` when the answer text is easier than the letter.
4. Keep images close to their question
- In `.docx`, place the image directly after the question text and before the options.
- Do not put several unrelated images between two questions.
- After import, questions with images are marked for review so you can check them manually.
5. Upload and review
- Open the upload page and choose your file.
- Check the preview: question text, images, options and correct answers.
- If something looks wrong, fix the source file and upload it again.
- Click Save Test only when the preview looks correct.
